We believe recycling initiatives should be set up as soon as possible. These initiatives would provide a solution for end of life Fonebak phones and new phones sold by manufacturers.

If such schemes are successful for mobile phones, it should encourage recycling initiatives for other products.

Although we cannot dictate to these developing market places, with an ongoing commitment via our Recycling Support Programme, we can make a difference and hopefully be the catalyst for good Environmental Management in developing markets.

We plan to launch the first two schemes in Romania and Nigeria by the end of 2003.
